tumblesaults safe?
My 20 something month old had been trying to do tumbkesaults for months now making me cringe. Grandpa helps him flip over but I always stop it when I see it. I've seen him flip solo once, he laughed, I almost cried. I am so worried he'll hurt his neck and back and head ....I'm I crazy, is this what toddlers do?I feel like I didn't do tumbles till elementary gym on a mat. We have rugs on wood floors. Should I buy a mat or stop him?

Re: tumblesaults safe?
I don't think there is anything dangerous about them at all. My kids have been doing them from an early age, it never even occurred to me to be worried.

Re: tumblesaults safe?
Hmm. I wouldn;t want my young child doing them either, especially without me.
They do teach the basics of this around 2 in gymnastics but it's with someone trained to teach them.
Is your FIL helping your DC do them properly?
