Do you break your rules
when your DS/DD are sick? Like letting them sleep with you, or sticking to schedules?

Yes I normally don't believe in bringing my DD in bed with us but the other day she was so sick from shots I broke the rules  Anything to make her feel better(which was sleeping on daddy)........

When his teething gets really bad all the rules go out the window in this house. I put him to sleep on my chest.

I really don't live by any rules but if DD is having a bad day we definitely sway from the norm or our typical routine and try to meet her needs whatever it may be on a given day.

When Emily was sick I couldn't follow the "don't take her out of the crib at night" rule --- or the "don't give her a bottle in the middle of the night" rule....and when she's miserable from teething we break the "don't let her sleep in our bed" rule...
They aren't really strict rules, obviously, but things we try not to make a habit of doing because we think they add to our normally good sleeping baby!
