So nervous and excited!
This is my first pregnancy, I actually was told that I would never get pregnant on my own, and tomorrow is the first sonogram. Finally!
I am nervous and excited all at the same time! My SO is coming as well, and I'm even nervous for him to be there when I have my feet in those stirrups!
What usually happens at the first appointment/sonogram? I know she's going to take a long history, but I'm not even sure what I should be asking. I am fairly new to this practice, but this particular doctor tends to rush, the two times that I have seen her before. She always makes me feel like she's gotta get moving to the next patient.
What did you ask at your first appointment? I am so excited that this day is finally here!

First off congratulations!! When I went to my first appt they did an internal sonogram. My OB takes you whenever you like so I was 7 weeks for my first. We then sat with him and talked about my next appointments. He didn't go into much of a history because he is my regular gyn and I was in a few months prior so he knows I have had a mc. I go tonight for my second appt at 11weeks so maybe there will be more to discuss.

Ooh good luck tonight too! I just changed gynos this summer so they need a history from me.
Hopefully I will have a great update. I'm so nauseated, my SO said "well, it's at least a good sign that things are going well!"

So nervous and excited!
I'm finally back... it went great!!! Baby measures at 7w 3d, and I had calculated 7w 5d, but they didn't change my due date. The heart rate was 143. I couldn't stop the tears as soon as we saw the heartbeat little "flashes".
The sono tech was so nice, and my SO was so excited. we just have to think of a way to tell our parents... I want to do something cute, he is more direct and teased me that he was going to say "yo, she's knocked up".
I'm on the hunt for a onesie or bib or something that says I love Grandma/grandpa/Uncle/aunt... I wanted to go straight to my parents' house and tell them but we decided to wait.
Next appointment is end of October for the NT scan. I guess I'll be calm for a while and then get really nervous right before it, like I did this time!
They did say I'm at risk for GD and not to be shocked if I get it, (both of the baby's grandfathers had type 2...)
PaddysGirl, how did your scan go today?
