Has anyone had mastitis??
I have it and it is horrible! I started antibiotics today, so I'm hoping it gets better quickly! How long did it take to see improvement? Any tips or tricks that helped with the discomfort?

I had it, it was so painful. I was also on antibiotics. Cabbage leaves worked wonders!!! Took about a week for the pain/engorgement to go away.

Yes, and I let it get so bad and I had to have an incision. Take the full course of antibiotics!!! Lots of warm compresses should help. I still bfed way longer than when I had it, so I was scared to do too much in case it hurt my supply.

Has anyone had mastitis??
I had it. The antibiotics work - as long as the one the dr gave you are safe for BF. Compresses didn't help me, nor did trying to massage it out. I had DD feed on that side constantly to suck it out. After about 4 or 5 days it resolved.
