Dinosaur Place in CT
Anyone ever been? Thinking of taking the kids at the end of the month. My DS is obsessed with dinosaurs, but I think, at 2, he is a little young for the Museum of Natural History. Is it doable as a day trip, or should we stay overnight? Anything else to do there? I see it is by Mystic but we did that last summer. TIA!

Re: Dinosaur Place in CT
We did that as a side trip when we went to Mystic. It's cute, but I have to be honest, wouldn't go there just for that. Maybe hit the aquarium too. It's a walking trail with the lifesize dinos and at the end is a pretty cool sprinkler park and playground.
If you go over night, definitely hit the aquarium too.

You should check out the Field Station Dinosaurs in NJ. It's a few minutes outside of the city in Secaucus. We went recently and it was GREAT! The shows are awesome, and the employees are very passionate. We had a great time, and I bought our tickets on Living Social for a great discount!

Re: Dinosaur Place in CT
My middle son is our resident dinosaur expert and we took him 2 summers ago (so around age 4). He loved it and keeps asking to go back. We stayed over night at a place with an indoor pool (on our way back - not too close to the dino park - can't remember where) and had some pool time while we were here. It was a long drive. My daughter is 2 and loves dinos she'd love it. We need to go back eventually. I hear it is much better than the one in NJ.
