3 naps a day, questions

I'm trying to figure out a mommy and me class to take with my 3 year old in the fall but want to try to plan it around her baby brother's naps.

He's 11 weeks old now so his naps are all over the place, but he'll be 4 months then and I assume on a more consistent schedule doing about 3 naps a day?

-When did your little one start 3 naps a day (or any type of real nap schedule?)
-What was their nap schedule like (and bedtime/wake-up time too?)

It was impossible to plan around DS#2's naps until he was down to 1 nap. Poor DS#2 got dragged everywhere in his car seat. He often fell asleep in the car.

We rotated our lives around DS#1's naps when he was a baby and only child.

DD didn't nap at a consistent time until she went to one nap. She took 3-4 naps a day at 4 months and her wake and nap times always varied. However, I started taking her to library classes at that age and we did classes that started between 10 and 11:30 and I was always able to get her up or down a little early or late depending on when we needed to leave. I would whatever time you think will work for everyone and have the LO work around it as PP suggested.

DS never and still doesnt nap on a schedule nor do I put him on one. He napped on the go if needed. If he fell asleep and we neded to be soemwhere I just woke him up.

Not sure at 4 months you will be able to schedule a perfect time.

My ds is 4 months old. He generally takes 4 naps. I only plan around one of them because it happens to be when my twins nap an it is his longer nap. That is usually around 12:30-1. Honestly at this naps are all going to depend on what time your dc wakes up for the day. Then just when you figure it out they will change it up! If its a nap time during class maybe your dc will fall asleep in carseat and then you can give your older dc full attention during his class.

if i did things around dd2's naps, she's almost 4 months) we would never do anything. DD1 I did everything around her naps and it created such a bad habit of ONLY sleeping in a crib, so I HAD to be home at nap times. DD2, sleeps in the carseat. If she's sleeping when I have to leave I transfer her and she often falls back to sleep, if not then she will catch up the next nap.

It's going to be difficult to plan things around his naps. I would pick a time and try it out. we are very inconsistent with naps, bedtime and wake up time. Yesterday she woke at 7 today 5:45. bedtime is usually 7/7:30

dd is 5 months and we are trying to get her on a schedule now...mostly bc my mom is watching her and wants some sort of routine so she can go out and do things with DD
that being said, what seems to be working is to put her down for a nap 2-2.5 hours after she wakes in the morning, and then about 3 hours later and again 3 hours later

Both of my boys didn't get onto a consistent nap schedule until 6-7 months. Before that it was a half hour here, an hour there, whenever they felt like it. When they were on a schedule it was one nap from 10-11:30 and one nap from 2-3:30 (approximately).

DS 2 was (and is) able to nap anywhere - when we're out and he's tired, he climbs in his stroller (he's 16 months now). He also adjusted to one nap a lot earlier than DS 1 since it was necessary (he now takes a 2-3 hr nap from 12-? and that started at 10-11 mos).
