Need Help

sorry for the fake name but I have no idea what's going on with my cycle.

I started spotting on May 6th, and offically got AF on May 9th. dh bd on cd 12, 14, 16, 18 and 25. I normally do not ovulate, so I took a test and had a bfn on CD 29, but then I started spotting. I had what I thought was af on June 8th (cd31), but it was heavy spotting that only lasted for 3 days- not normal.

So now for the past week and a half (since cd 10), I have been having super faint bfps- it's not an evaporation line because it appears within the 5 minute time frame. DH can see them, and I'm able to photograph each test.

now im wondering if that short af was implantation bleeding. My doctor will not see me until the end of July-he is treating it like a normal pregnancy and my office won't see you any earlier than 9 weeks.

Has anyone ever experienced faint bfps and have gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

also, I've been mainly using the Internet cheapies, and I've also used FRER and digitalis- all but the digitalis have shown a positive result (the FRER have also had the super faint bfps, but they can only been seen in person, not through a picture).

This is such an emotional roller coaster and I just want some definitive answers Chat Icon

I would call your doctor and see if they can do a blood test.

I agree, call for a blood test, that's the only true way to know.

Well, I just found out that the Internet cheapies I bought are being recalled due to giving false positives. That's most likely why I've been getting them so often on the cheapies, and not on the real tests.

Guess I can call and cancel my 9 week appointment

Re: Need Help

I would get bloodwork done to get some real answers. I read about a few false positives with the internet cheapies but I have used them often and never ever had a false positive or evap with them. Digitals are a lot less sensitive so it makes sense for those to show not pregnant if you are very early or your hcg is low.

This cycle I had brown blood and was sure AF was coming, but the next morning there was no more blood and I got light but clear BFPs (internet cheapy and FRER). I continued to get light positives for the next 4 days although they seemed to lighten rather than darken.

I went for bloodwork and I was glad I did. Hanging in limbo was killing me. My first beta (2 days after BFP, with very light line on internet cheapies) was 16. My subsequent beta 2 days later (with nearly negative cheapies but the faintest line) was 11. I started spotting later that day and AF showed the next day. It was a chemical, but they were definitely "real" positives. The internet cheapies are very sensitive and I'm not sure I would have gotten a positive on a digital except for maybe the day of my first BFP.

I am hopeful that you will have a happier ending, but bloodwork is really the only way to know for sure what is going on

Edit: if your doctor still wont see you before 9 weeks you can go to an urgent care/drop in clinic and they will run the betas for you

I'm sorry Hun. I have tested yet but I would have probably bought the cheap ones too, but I guess there's a reason they are cheap. Good luck next month!!!
