TV show is making me sick

I'm watching "I'm having their baby" on some channel called Universal, never heard of the show or the channel but it caught my eye because DH and I are beginning to explore the option of surrogacy. Anyway, this girl is pregnant, decides to give her baby up for adoption. She finds a great couple, they agree to adopt her baby once it's born. Then one day, 2 months before the due date, as the adoptive mother is tearfully thanking the birth mom for giving her the courage to move forward with a hysterectomy, the girl says - What if i want to keep the baby? Of course the adoptive mother is in shock and upset, so they break the agreement.

Wait, it gets worse. Then, a few weeks before the due date, she finds a new adoptive couple. And 2 days after the baby's born, she decides AGAIN that she wants to keep the baby. What a cruel cruel thing to do, to not only 1 couple but 2!!!! As half of a couple that would give anything for a baby, I can't imagine thinking you have finally found your baby and having it yanked away from you at the last minute. I'm sick to my stomach, so mad I started watching this awful show

I've caught that show a couple of times and it is sad, but at the same time I can understand how they can change their minds.Once they see the baby I can imagine how hard it is to give it up. I never adopted, but I remember after I had DD#1 I didn't want to send her to the nursery that's how in love and protective I felt once I delivered her.

I saw the commercial for this how and was hysterical just from that.......def won't be watching.

I can totally see how in love you must be with your baby, and the longer you wait for her and dream about her, the more amazing it must be when she actually arrives (I guess my future baby will be a girl!) I guess what was more making me sick was thinking that I could be that adoptive mom one day soon and you are totally at the mercy of another person. Even with surrogacy, there's a chance that the carrier protests and tries to keep the baby. I don't even know what Id do...

My dh's aunt and uncle adopted like 25yrs ago and one of the couples (after they paid for prenatal care, etc) changed their minds. My heart breaks for the heartache I know they went through at the time.

After a long heinous journey, they eventually adopted their daughter at 3yrs old and a few years later adopted their son as a newborn.
