Am I that big??
So last week one of the ladies at work commented on how big I looked for 18 weeks and asked if I was having twins. I said no, and she said, "are you sure?". 
Then my mother tells me that a friend of hers at a party saw me and asked if I was having twins.
Then I come in today and another lady at work says "wow, you've gotten so big, sure it's not twins??"
Now I'm loving my baby bump and proud to display but is it really that big for 18 weeks??

For some reason people feel they can comment on a pregnant woman's body at any time. Most of the time it's rude. I'm 30 wks now and one of the men in my office thinks it's cute to call me "waddles". It's not cute and I want to punch him in the face every day. LOL! But he's old so I let it slide.
Embrace your bump and your growing baby! Don't let others make you feel bad.

You aren't big!!! I got big quickly and was showing a lot more then what I was. I remember at 4 months my mom said I looked like I was 6 months. I'm short though so he had no room but to grow outwards I guess. Now at 37 weeks I'm getting a lot "O! You don't look 9 months." I guess maybe we're just gaining faster in the beginning and then it slows down.

Thanks everyone! I really do love having a bump that shows. I'm totally embracing the tight tank tops and maternity pants. But sometimes that shallow voice in your head breaks through and stupid comments bother you. It's nice to come on here and be talked down!

Oh please. I get this all day long. The amount of energy it takes for me to not smack someone is what is exhausting, not the actual pregnancy.
My OB actully confirmed my "huge-ness" the other day after measuring my belly by telling me I was measuring 3 weeks ahead (I'm 30 weeks).

I think you look great. We are also getting to the time of year where we are replacing out winter baggy clothes for things that show off the bump a bit.

Why do ppl assume or joke there are more
then one baby in someones belly when you
are showing regularly? Every woman carries
differently and ppl still have to make a
comment about how small or big they are.

Your not that big! And people have been commenting on my belly all along. I just carry big, thats it. So did my mom. Doesn't bother me. But people def don't know how to filter what they say. Hey, I had to tell my family when I was 8 weeks because I had a pooch - bloating or whatever - it never went away.

Omg!!! This is so annoying! I'm 20 weeks and I have been having the same thing happen! In fact, I'm in the social work field and I met a client ( grown woman) for the first time the other day during a visit and she said wow, now that's a belly; are you sure your only 5 months?? Are your sure you don't have another in there?? Really?? When did people get so rude that they feel they can tell a pregnant woman that? Sorry that happened to you but I'm sure you look great! My take; if you and baby are healthy then they Should shut it! Enjoy this time! :)
