Has anyone had an ectopic pregnancy??
If so, what were your symptoms? I had surgery on both tubes and am at a very high risk for ectopic pregnancy unfortunately. What were your symptoms? I am getting really painful twinges on my lower right side and am worried :/ it's my only viable tube and I'm kind of freaking myself out...

I did, 5 months ago. You would definitely know it if you had one. It's more than a twinge....I could barely sit up it was so painful. The pain was unbearable. I went right to the ER and it was diagnosed with an ultrasound.
If you are freaking out, definitely go get it checked out. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that this isn't an ectopic

Re: Has anyone had an ectopic pregnancy??
I had one. Felt nothing. They figured it out before 6 weeks and it wasn't big enough to see. Did Methotrexate shots and it dissolved.
Because you are high risk for Ectopic, you should be getting a sono sooner then later. First sono is usually 8 weeks, I'd say you should go by 6.
ETA: and THAT's another reason why they should have just run the Beta. Those assholes

I know !! Should I just go to my OB at this point? I remember when I was pregnant with my DS, I called him and he fit me right in to bloodwork, then rushed me to mercy hospital for an emergency sono. I was getting extreme pain then too and he knew my tubal history. It was then that I saw a perfect little bean safe in my uterus! Best feeling ever and my Dr said I got very lucky! Hoping 7 years haven't created more issues for me :/ I will only be 4 weeks on Monday when I get the beta so should I try and get a sono at 5weeks or is that too early? Also, how did they just figure it out? Did they not see it in a sono?

I was only 5 weeks or so when I had mine, so they didn't see it in my sono. My beta was not rising enough, so dr suspected a miscarriage. I actually had a D&C and THEN they realized it was in my tube (which I lost).
Go with your gut. I would ask for the sono. Who knows, maybe they will see something.

Re: Has anyone had an ectopic pregnancy??
I had an ectopic last August...my pain was not very severe (I thought I was having bad cramping and suspected a miscarriage). I actually didn't have any pain or bleeding until my tube had burst and I was bleeding internally. This pregnancy, my doctor followed me very carefully (I had betas from the day I got my positive test to check my levels and sonos from before 5 weeks). I will say that if you are sure you are not yet 4 weeks, it is probably too early to be feeling pain from an ectopic...I only think that because I thought I was 5 weeks and they thought that was early to have bad pain and a tube burst through ectopic and once I had the surgery and tube removed, the doctor said that from the tissue she saw, I was farther along that the 5 weeks that I thought.

It might be too early for ectopic pain, no? If you are nervous, you should call doctor though. I felt implantation twinges with DS.... Maybe it's a good sign!!

This could be true. I had a tremendous amount of pain at 5 or 6 weeks because my tube was rupturing....your twinges could be implantation.

You have had pain before for a successful pregnancy so try your best not to worry too much, it might just be what your body does. I know easier said then done. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it may be too early for them to see if it is ectopic or not.

Re: Has anyone had an ectopic pregnancy??
I had an ectopic preg in Nov. of 2011. I didn't experience any pain other than cramping one time for like 10 minutes and then it went away and never returned.
My symptom unfortunately was reoccurring spotting.
I haven't gotten pregnant again since then, but my OB said that when I do, they want to see me ASAP to monitor things early.
