Moms of unswaddled babies
Alison does NOT like to be swaddled (or maybe we are doing something wrong). What you do? I know you are not supposed to use a blanket, do you just dress them warmer? What do you do in the summer?
Any advice is appreciated

Isabella hated being swaddled also. In AC I just dress her in a footed sleeper, if I don't use the AC I'll let her sleep with a onesie. I do admit to using a blanket sometimes, a very lightweight 100% cotton one though.

Gianni refused to be swaddled from birth. I would just put him in foot pjs.

Re: Moms of unswaddled babies
I swaddled DS in the begging but stopped quickly because he is constantly kicking his legs and moving his arms around a lot so he always ended up unswaddling himself somehow and besides I don't like the idea of swaddling a baby in this heat. I still cover him but he always kicks it off so I tuck the blanket ( a very light material) under the bassinett pad.

Our Alyson didn't like it either but lucky for us (I guess) she's a warm natured baby and prefers to be cool...she sleeps in a onesie.

We don't swaddle Ava. At night we put her in light weight long sleeved, feety pjs. During the day, she hangs out in a onesie and a pair of pants or just her onesie.

Ryan hated to be swaddled also. In the winter he had a sleep sack on normally (the long sleeve fleece kind) or just long sleeve onesie pajama. Now he just wears a regular onesie to bed.

Emily never liked being swaddled so we just did footsie PJs. We used the sleep sack once but it was just a PITA for middle-of-the-night diaper changes.
