Who else saw American Idol this week?
I'm actually liking this season way more than the last few years because the judges are so much better, at least in my opinion. I like that they actually critique the contestants and I find Nikki gives really good advice.
What are we thinking will happen on the results show with Charlie? I think it can sooooo go either way .... People will either feel sorry for his ass, or not.  I think he's gonna get the boot, personally.

Who else saw American Idol this week?
DH & I watch every year and we are not feeling it this year at all. Mostly because we can't stand Nikki.
She is so full of herself, I hate that she is always rolling her eyes when the other judges talk, and she says the same thing to every other contestant 'stay true to yourself', 'my little ladybug', 'you look sexy'...this is a singing competition, STOP telling the contestants how hot they look.
I'm not feeling the guys as much as the girls this year - Cree, Angie, Candice, Aubrey, Tenna and Jenelle are great singers!
We are a night behind with the show on DVR - so we watched the girls last night and will catch the boys tonight :)

nikki bothers the heck out of me. but i think keith is great.
but poor charley. i felt so awful for him...

Im watching this season only because I have watched every other season.. I looooooove Keith Urban but unfortunately cannot stomach Nicki Minaj.. her voice, her look.. her facial impressions.. everything urks me! especially since I have dealt with her in real life and I know how she really is:( not a nice person) anyway.. besides that I really like a lot of the girls.. only a few boys that are good but that Charlie better NOT make it.. He was awful and he does not have a good voice really :( .. I actually think he has some real serious issues going on in his head and needs to seek therapy asap! This show is not good for him. I found his last performance really disturbing.. Hope America sees it the same way!

i agree...i was watching it with my bf and we both said he looked like he can go postal at any minute. for his sanity Idol should take him off the show. they would probably want to keep him for ratings

Nikki really bothered me in the beginning but i actually think she's given some of the most honest criticism - that is when she's not saying she wants to have a contestants babies, wants to sleep with them, marry them, calling them ladybugs, smooshy mushrooms etc 
Her constant low voice crooning over the contestants looks is really really annoying since this is a SINGING show and usually a positive comment on the looks means the voice wasn't worth anything!
Keith is great, i really like him. Mariah just sort of stutters in the corner, trips over her own words and doesn't really contribute much
My money is on the girl who plays the piano and sang her own original song during Vegas Week (i think she looks a bit like Miley Cyrus).
Charlie was a bit creepy this week, and i was originally rooting for him to make it through because he was the nerdy underdog, but i think he sort of lost that charm last night.

I pretty much agree word for word. I do like Nikki's advice but I find the other nonsense unnecessary. I think her advice is the most honest and constructive though.
I was never rooting for Charlie though and I thought he looked creepy from his first audition!
Besides that, I could have written your post myself!

I agree. They did such a bad job picking the guys this year. They got a littl e too hung up on the backstories. Enough with that, the sob stories. Pick people who can sing, whether they have a story or not. Ugh.

I loveeeee Burnell Taylor!!!!!!!! I love his voice.. so different!
Although I'm not completely in love with Lorenzo, his story makes me smile and I'm glad he made it!
With that said, I think the ladies have it this year!

i 1000% agree with their top 10! i was happy to see my favorites! my guy favorite is Devon and girl is Kree. runner ups are Lazaro and Candace.
I had a big stutter when i was a kid and still have a little now so i'm really happy to see someone like Lazaro not scared to chase his dream.

I agree. Lazaro is not good enough for 10 ten.Courageous, yes, decent voice, yes but not top 10 out of hundreds of thousands of people.

We should seriously watch AI together one of these days because once again I agree with you 100% 
Seriously though, I also said that form the start that I thought it was cool he could sing without stuttering, but if not for that I don't think his voice would stand out enough.
Also, call me harsh but it irked me that he wore that same pepto bismol pink shirt two weeks in a row.
