Spinoff to Screen Time
No poll for this one, but when did your LO start using electronics (like computer or ipod or ipad)?

My 8.5 month old DD has been reaching for my phone and laptop for months already. We put one of DH's old computer keyboards in her play area so that she could hit the keys! She doesn't "use" any of these things yet, but really enjoys playing with them. She would be so happy with no other toys than my laptop, phone, and the remote control!

Yeah, I really need to find my old keyboard to do the same. DD always wants to put my phone in her mouth! So annoying though. But she wants all of my electronics... I thought an old keyboard would make a good toy but I my old one is at my parents house in storage.

Basically never. As I said in the other thread, I'm pretty lax with these things. But we don't own an ipad and I have a smartphone, but it's kind of a piece of junk and has like no apps on it. I do use my laptop around him, but he's just not that interested in it.

Spinoff to Screen Time
DS started watching shows on the iPad when travelling at around 21 months. Between 2 1/2 and 3, he started getting into more apps/games. He usually plays with it while I'm getting his brother to bed (when DH isn't home).

Never. My DC are 7.5, almost 6, and almost 2.5 and they have literally never used my iPhone. I allowed my older girls to use my iPad like 3x to play vid rhythm (like a make your own music video thing).
I can say with certainty that they will never play on my phone. As for the iPad...I don't know. I don't see why they need to play on a $500 "toy" when they have plenty of their own stuff.

At about 1 year with DD & 2 years with DS, in restaurants, we let the kids watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the iphone. We include that as "screen time".

Can I say from the second she was born 
All kidding aside, she was pretty tranced by the buttons at like 4 months or something. At 16 months, I'll be lucky if i get my phone while I'm at home. She listens to music and she since my parents facetime her on my phone, my phone has become her phone!

DS started playing with my iphone around 1. Then at 2 we let him use the ipad it was great for him to learn his abc's. Now at 3 he is a pro.

Spinoff to Screen Time
DH is a major tech guy (and it's a part of his career), and loves to get the latest Apple products. So yea, basically from birth. But maybe a month or 2 ago DS really started playing with it (he's 18 mos now). I try to use it only when needed, basically when I need him to calm down (he's a bit of a wild child at times) or when I need to get something done uninterrupted - like get ready to go out in the AM with him or make dinner. I hate to say it, but it makes a great baby-sitter/mothers helper.

Spinoff to Screen Time
Omg early. Probably since like 4 months old. She loves my phone!!! Lol. I can't get it away from her sometimes.
I still find it amazing that my toddler know exactly how to work an iPhone (sliding the bar to unlock it, etc) when years and years ago technology like this never existed and kids those days had no clue!

DS has been interested in our iPhones/iPads since before he was 1 and we would occasionally let him watch clips of a Disney show if we were trying to distract him or calm him down. Now at 2.5, he plays with the iPad almost every day... there are soooo many cute games and he loves it. It has helped him learn numbers, letters, shapes and even puzzles. Obviously he practices those things with real toys as well, but I don't see anything wrong with letting him use the iPad. The preschool we will be sending him to even uses them!

Um, Im afraid DD will mess up my candy crush game at not quite 5 mo because she will reach for the pretty colors if I'm holding her
