Where did you get your Wood Swingset? ETA: Question about Quality

We would like to purchase a wood swingset for our backyard.

Where did you purchase your swingset and if you don't mind sharing how much you paid that would be awesome!

I don't need someone to install it because my DH said he can do it.

Also, what do you have on the ground under the swingset? Rubber mulch? Regular Mulch? Sand? Grass?

ETA: Thanks Everyone! For those of you who bought it online and installed yourself, did you have any problems with the wood splitting? Were the boards split when the package arrived or did they split while installing? I keep reading reviews online and that is the common complaint.

We bought ours at Creative Playthings last year. We paid about 3,000. Given our experience though I would NOT recommend them.

We just have regular grass under the set.

Got ours in April from Wood Kingdom, think it was around $2400.

We also have rubber mulch under it, which was $$$ but worth it IMO.

Walmart, inexpensive and has held up GREAT! Especially for the price. I think I paid $399 several years ago. We need a new canopy though for the clubhouse part, as the hurricane hurled a tree onto it, and winds lately have ripped it to pieces.

If you are consdiering Wood Kingdom- please use the one in Farmingdale and not the Wood Kingdom East in Medford I believe.
I practically had to go to court with them
They took our deposit and didn't deliver our product for almost a year.
It was a run around every single time I called.
I am NEVER one to complain about my experiences with businesses but they should be shut down
If you go on the BBB you will see 100s of similar complaints.
I just wish someone had warned me before we ordered from this nightmare.
The original Wood Kingdom is NOT affliated with them anymore and I have heard great things about that one.

costco. we got it when it was on sale for $800. we love it!

we have just grass under it.

Here's another vote NOT to use the Wood Kingdom out east.

I love our swingset, but it was such a stressful nightmare dealing with them. I've also heard the one in Farmingdale is much, MUCH better. I wish that we had just gone there...

Sams and we installed it ourselves. Took several days. We just have grass beneath it. We paid about 900?

got it on sale from sears and have rubber nuggets under everything but the swing area (needed to save $)
the set is amazing, my dad set it up with one helper and the rubber nugget is the BEST! actually its rubber nuggets...look into the difference, i thought i wanted mulch but when i saw it i realized it was the nuggets i needed.

We just got ours installed yesterday from Wood Kingdom. They were having an awesome sale. We just have grass under it.
The kids love it! It comes w/ a 20 year warranty.
