Summer babies
is due July 4th. My other sons are winter babies so I'm not sure what to need for a summer baby.
Can you give me a list of must have's for a summer baby? Did you find that they are not in clothes a lot? I don't know if I need pants, long-sleeves, onsies, newborn caps, etc.
TIA!

Re: Summer babies
I have two summer babies. You do need long sleeve/pants stuff for indoors if you have ac. When we were out I dressed them in one pieces rompers, shorts, sun dresses and I always brOught a blanket for the car. They didn't really ever wear hats unless it was a sunhat.

Same! My DD is a summer baby and most of the time she was just in onesies mostly. When we were inside because of AC I would put on pants/socks. She had a sun hat I didnt really use it much because she was really in the stroller and I used the canopy on the car seat to protect her.
And I loved/love the sleep and plays from Carters. The cotton ones or the terry cloth ones were FANTASTIC! Especially for nighttime. I would put her in those then swaddle her for bedtime. And during the super hot days when were stuck inside and the ac was on she would just hang in one of those since they are so comfy.
Congrats! Best of luck!
PS: I also HIGHLY recommend Aden and Anais blankets. They are lightweight and airy yet you can double and triple them up when folding to make them warmer. I also really like the Gap blankets when you need something a lil heavier but not a killer winter blanket to wrap them.

Re: Summer babies
my 1st was due 7/10 but came 6/30.
We used both pants, onesies and long sleeve onesies. Pants and sleeves for when the AC was on.
Neither of my boys we really used hats on. Not even my 2nd who was born 1/23. No that's a lie... at night we did. But that was it.

Re: Summer babies
DD was born in late June in a heat wave. I remember dressing her to go home in just a short outfit with a matching cap and a light receiving blanket over the car seat. The nurse commented that she was glad to see I didn't over dress her because it was HOT out there.
For home, she was mainly in onesies all day in the beginning. She was very fussy so we had her swaddled almost ALL the time to calm her so we rarely needed pants or anything like that- even in the AC. If she wasn't swaddled I'd just put a receiving blanket over her if it was chilly in the AC Same for going out- it was HOT
