LIJ feedback?
Hi ladies. New to the boards and also new to the whole infertility process :( Been trying for about 6 months with no luck so I went to my OB who ran some tests. I feel he's all over the place so I made an appt today with LIJ North Shore Center for Human Reproduction. Was wondering if anyone had any feedback.
In the meantime my OB has me starting Clomid on my next cycle days 5-9 so we'll see how that goes.

They wanted me to see Chu but my schedule didn't work with open times so I'm seeing Sholl on the 6th.

My DH had both his SA done at North Shore Center for Human Reproduction. They have their own andrology dept. Have you tried there? Or do they not take your insurance?

LIJ feedback?
They take our insurance, I figured I'd see the dr there first and then let them do the SA since we literally called about 20 places. My OB first told me I had endo, low progesterone (a 6) so he said i'm not ovulating at all and i have a cyst on my ovary, went for MRI and he then tells me no cyst on ovary, they are fine, but I have two fibroids on the outside of my uterus which he doesn't see as a problem, never mentioned the endo and started me on Clomid. I just feel like he's all over and doesn't read what he wrote prior, just looks at what's in front of him.

Re: LIJ feedback?
I am a former patient and not a fan. I did IVF and had 4 transfers with them all BFN, my primary was Dr. Scholl. After a couple of failed cycles you would think if its not working maybe we should change the protocol; well he's "old school" and refused so I left. It took them 2 months to send my records to my new RE(check old posts to see my rants). I finally got my BFP at RS of Ny. They listened, reviewed my records, and said let's try something different.
You may want to try to get in with Dr. chu or Dr Cohen they are more up to date with current technology.

Ugh, so I'm going from one old school to another. Thanks. I'll call today and see if I can change.

Re: LIJ feedback?
My dd was conceived through ivf at NSUH. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Cohen. My dd is 14 months so we are getting ready to go back for #2. I found Dr. Cohen to be very calming, which is exactly what i needed when we began this journey over 4 years ago. He def knows his stuff and is willing to try various different approaches. Overall i had a very positive experience at NSUH. GL!!

Love Dr Scholl, Hershlag and Cohen. Not a fan of Chu I did not like her at all.
I would feel it out and not cancel based on one bad review. Granted he is older schooled but you don't just see him. Its a collaboration of sorts. Hes jyst your primary if you go with him. And chu in my opinion has no bedside manner or people skills. Maybe my case was different some people like her.

I decided to keep the appt with Scholl and see how it goes. Just got all the paperwork in the mail today. Chu must be (semi) popular, they couldn't give me a night appt with her until a month from when I called, unless she doesn't do many nights.
Thanks for all the insight ladies. I'm hoping to get some better answers this time around.

LIJ feedback?
I was a patient of Dr. Chu's and I was very happy with her. Although, I only saw her for probably 1/2 of my appts. Who you will see depends on who is on staff on the days you have to go in. When I had my m/c I saw Dr. Scholl and Dr. Rausch. Then I had my IUI done by Dr. Cohen b/c he was the only doctor on staff that weekend. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about the staff, nurses and doctors. Everyone was very caring and supportive and I never waited longer than 20 min in the waiting room. I just checked their website and apparently Dr. San Roman works there now. I don't know him, but I feel like I've seen his name on LIF alot. Good luck! I hope it works out for you.
