I think it will be good for your DH and for your MIL to have your DD around, and i'm glad you changed your mind. Sometimes the little ones really can bring a whole new perspective to life and can brighten the day just by being there.

I agree with you. If you really think they aren't stable emotionally she might want you around if she gets upset. She is going in a few weeks anyways. In the end, you have to do what you are comfortable with. I would let DH cool off for a day and then and try and weigh the pros and cons.
I am feeling this way as well. All the best for your mil.
i agree and I also have a DC that is the same age. My 3.5 year old is STILL talking about the hurricane (we only lost power) because it scared him and he can't articulate it. I would encourage DH to spend that small amount of time handling the emotions with his immediate family/making a plan without the kids and then get the kids down there once they have some time to get used to the situation. Maybe he can make videos of the kids to show her to lighten the mood when neccessary or make cards, etc? All the best to you, your DH and his family!

Yeah, I'm so glad!!! My mom is sick a lot of the time and every time she gets temperamental about getting help "for fear it could be bad" we sick my brother and niece on her....does the trick every time!!! So yeah, it might just be the push she needs to get the biopsy! Good luck and trust me, your daughter will be fine!!
