Anyone go to the Y for swimming lessons

Anyone go to the Y for swimming lessons
I was looking into the Y in patchogue for swimming lessons. Any input would be great.
also do we have to be members for them to go, or can anyone just sign up?

Ds has been going for the past two summers. He will start going again this spring. I love the patchogue Y. they are very attentive and usually have anywhere from 3 or 4 teachers to 10 to 12 kids. My ds is the only one who's a member. Whoever is taking the swimming lessons need to be a member. I believe its $70 a year and the lessons are $100 for eight week sessions.

I took DS to the Y for swimming lessons when he was about 12 months. We live in Staten Island, but I would think the policies are the same. We did not have to be a member we were able to just pay and take the class. It was a Mommy and Me swim class and I really enjoyed it.

We also have our daughter signed up for private swim lessons at the Y in Patchogue!! Its great we will start again this spring also! She is the only memeber but my husband will swim sometimes when she has a lesson he just has to pay $5.00

Denise, when do you guys go? My sister used to go there all the time when she lived in Patchogue, I have been wanting to sign up Gavin for lessons. Maybe we can meet up?
