Kids sharing a room
Do your kids share a room?
Are they the same gender? If not, how long did you keep boy/girl in same room?
How was it having a newborn share a room with an older DC?

Kids sharing a room
My kids share a room (2 boys).
I didn't move the baby in until he was 3 months old but, they have been together 8 months now and I can count on one hand the number of times one has woken up the other.

Re: Kids sharing a room
We have twins on the way and they will be sharing a room and we do not know their genders. If they are B/G, then after about 2-3 years, we will move our older DS in with the boy and our girl will have her own room. If they are both the same gender, we plan on having them share a room forever, or until we move/expand, whichever comes first! lol

I shared a room with my brother until I went to Jr High. We had our own system. It was fine.

Kids sharing a room
Thanks everyone!
We are TTC #2 and to maximize space in our house we are planning to have them share a room. I was just concerned with one waking up the other. I plan on keeping DC #2 in our room until I have to go back to work which is what I did with DD.

Re: Kids sharing a room
My girls share they are 21 months apart. They will share until we buy a bigger home. I did not put my littlest in there to sleep until she was 6 months old. So far is going as well as I think it can. My little one gets up a lot now that she is teething so I do run in and take her out so she won't wake my oldest.

Re: Kids sharing a room
My DDs (3 and 21m) share a room. It's great! They really like it especially in the morning. They wait til the other one is awake and like to play for a but together and chat from their beds.
I shared a room with my brother until we were in HS. It was fine :)
