2 kids sharing room...

Anyone have their two children in 1 room? I am preggo with DS2, and would love for them to share a room, at least in the beginning. We have the extra bedroom, and the space for new baby...(our bedrooms are huge) I just want to make the extra bedroom into a really nice playroom.

Does anyone have pics of the way they set up the room? I think I have it set, and I seperated the "nursery side" from the "big boy" side....just curious what everyone else did. DS1 and DS2 will be 20 months apart.

Thank you!

Re: 2 kids sharing room...

My 5-year old loves sharing a room with his 3-year old brother. We used to have the 3-year old twins in the same room when they were younger, but we gave the little DIVA her own room. The boys just recently got bunkbeds.

We moved DS1 in there when he was 3 and DS2 was 1 and haven't looked back. We divided the room just like you did. And our rooms are pretty small. Everything went great.

Re: 2 kids sharing room...

My girls have been sharing a room since DD#1 was 2 and DD#2 was 5 months. They love being together and I often find them in bed together. They are now almost 4 and 5. I had another room, but I thought it was silly to put them in separate rooms since the bedrooms we have are so large, and they are so close in age. I will look through my files and see if I can find a picture of the room set up when my little one was in a crib. My girls are 19 months apart!

My boys share a room. They are 8 and 13 months. The youngest is still in his crib. We didn't have an extra room for them so they had to be roomed together. It's a big room and each has a side for their own toys but I always find them playing together. Chat Icon

The only issue (and it's not a huge issue) is that my oldest has to leave the room when the baby is napping. But he brings all his stuff and will either play in our room or the living room. He is pretty mellow and doesn't really care.
