If dc birthday is close to Christmas
Either soon before or soon after-
What do they get for Christmas vs for their birthday?
Clothes for Christmas & toys for birthday?
Winter stuff for Christmas & spring/summer for bday?
Or vice versa?

My twins bday is 2 weeks after xmass.
My family is really good at asking what they want/need.
We usually do regular toys for xmass
For their bday...They usually get outdoor toys and summer clothes. A few family memeber gave them saf t swim gift certificates too.

This exactly except birthday is in Feb. We ask for summer/outdoor toys if asked what to get.

If dc birthday is close to Christmas
DD just turned one in December.. she ended up getting a mix of clothes and toys from her first bday party from family and friends (as well as books, money and some personalized things as well) and then she got all toys for xmas from family. It just worked out that way. I think its a great idea though to ask for summer/spring clothes for the bday though if anyone asks.

i have two...DD is 11 days before and DS is 14 days after 
they are both still young so is is toys toys and more toys....with a little bit of clothes mixed in for their brthdays! lol

If dc birthday is close to Christmas
DS turned one on Dec 28th. He got toys and clothes from family. We got him a few small toys and a fire truck for his birthday. Toys from family for birthday. Most of the toys were for slightly older so we put them in the attic and will pull them out in the summer.
I figure this will work for 2 years before he really knows and remembers the toys.

DS bday is 12/30.
He is spoiled for both events, with both toys and clothing.
Although my parents and sister have started to give cash for the bday and this year, the ILs said they wanted to pay for some kind of class since he is getting older now. (All still gave some small toys and outfits at bday LOL).
He will be starting gymnastics this week.

My niece was born 12/24 and my nephew 12/26. While we celebrate Hanukkah, which is usually a bit earlier, they still get toys for both holidays.
My own DD was born on 12/21/12. Seems my family has an affinity with holiday time births!

My DS is Jan. 15th.
If people ask what to get, I say GCs are perfect. I put them away for the spring/summer and we go "outdoor play" shopping.

Same thing they would get if their birthday was in June. I just feel like its not fair to gip them bc of their Bday date.

DS was born 12/25. We hosted a party for him early-12/8 and received lots of toys and clothes. For Christmas it was also a mix of both. We actually didn't buy a Christmas gift since he got so many and doesn't know yet.

My friend has twins born on 12/25 and said she will celebrate during there half birthday in June. The get so much at christmas.

DS 1's b-day is 12/21. He gets a mix of clothes and toys for each holiday. We don't get him much of anything because he gets so much from others.
