Soundgarden!
Anyone else seeing them this week?
I'm going Wednesday. And maybe tomorrow...not sure yet. Hammerstein.
Was going to see them at Terminal 5 last week but I despise that venue.

We saw Owl City there (because I am a 15 year old girl, clearly) and I thought it sucked too. Horrible layout. I am too old and cranky for standing room only.

What is wrong with Terminal 5?
We drove to Sands center in PA yesterday to see Stone Sour and Papa Roach, instead of going to Terminal 5 during the week. It was just more convenient because it was the weekend. I didn't know that Terminal 5 was bad, so maybe we lucked out.

IMO, Terminal 5 shouldn't be a live music venue...the layout of the place causes terrible acoustics. I've seen bands there that I've seen elsewhere and I walk away saying "man, they sounded ******!" but it's not their fault. Sightlines also suffer because of the layout.
There are so many great venues in the city but when a band is booked there or the United Palace theatre, I have to ask myself if it's worth it to go to a show there because the venues are crappy.
FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS!!!

Yep! And it's 5 levels of general admission hell! The Beacon or Town Hall are my faves

Show was good. My bf has seen them a bunch of times and said the crowd was really bored lol. Everyone was just standing still.

Agree with the acoustics of Terminal 5, but disagree with the general admission part.
To me, any venue with seats is hellish. If i'm seeing a band, i want to move. Sitting down (for me) is the ultimate act of boredom
Haven't seen Soundgarden in probably almost 20 years, holy shit! Gotta say, i prefer to remember them the way they were then as opposed to now. One of the highlights of my college days was having Chris Cornell dive into the crowd right over me and i reached up and took a nice grab at his ass!
