Potty Training Questions
DD is almost 19 months and used the potty for the first time yesterday. She went twice with the nanny during the day and then once right before bed (was so happy I got to see it!). She definitely isn't totally ready to be fully potty trained, but I figure we should keep trying. My goal is to have her fully trained when DD2 arrives in May.
So, my questions:
1. How long does it typically take to train?
2. Did you bring a potty with you when you went out?
3. How do you clean the potty - what kind of cleaner?
4. Did you use pull ups, or go straight to underwear?
5. How long did you wait after day training to start the night training?
6. How did you transition to a regular toilet from the toddler potty? I know DD would be afraid if we tried to small seat on the toilet right now.
Thanks - I am so clueless!

Re: Potty Training Questions
With DD #1, took about a month for her to be fully potty trained with no accidents.
DD #2, took 2 days. She was a late potty trainer but when we started she was ready.
DD #3, we've been trying for 3 months now and still not fully potty trained. Each child is different.
When we were ready to completly potty train we went to underwear. My DD wore pull ups for months before she really started going on the potty, so they did not work for us, she used them like a diaper.
We still have a potty in our car. It works for us because most public bathrooms skeeve me out, so i'd rather her go in there.
We clean the portable potty out with regular household cleaner.
