Disney on Ice
We bought tix for Treasure Trove and originally only planned on bringing 3.5 yr old DD. We figured my 1.5 yr old wouldn't be able to sit through the whole thing and since we can't bring carriage in it would be a challenge. However, he adores Mickey and friends and I know he'd love to see the characters. For those that have been, do you think he's too young? How long is the show including intermission? Thanks!

Re: Disney on Ice
We have been to 2 Disney on Ice shows and honestly my 3 (and now 4) year old was just eh with it. Mickey and friends (in all shows) barely came out. My DD was very disapppointed with BOTH shows so I would not bring a 1.5 yo. Shows generally run about 1.5 with intermission. I would not bring a 1.5 year old to an ice show after my experiences.

Re: Disney on Ice
Thank you for sharing our experience! Since I'd like to enjoy the show myself I think it's best to leave home home.

Disney on Ice
I took AJ last year but she was 3 and it wasn't so much for Mickey as it was to see Jasmine (which was VERY brief) and Tangled (which she loved). I got tickets waaaaaaaaaaaay early this time for next year's (this years) show (brave related). We are going to have great seats!
But if Mickey and friends are the goal, no its not worth it to take the 1.5yr old.

Re: Disney on Ice
It is usually 2 hours with a 15 intermission so it end around 1 for the 11 am show. We do both shows every year as the girls love disney. DD#1 was never a sitter but always sits through the disney on ice and the circus. The key when they are young is to sit up close ( but not on the ice too hard to see). We used to get good deals. There are two shows. The Nov show is a princess one. Mickey and friends only come out for a short time I see that one is more for the girls. The one in Jan appeals to both boys and girls. Each year the show is different there are like 5 shows circling. This one I think is the Lion King, Peter pan, Alice etc. Mickey and friends skate some but the basically open and close the show and introduce the next scenes. I suggest going to the disney site and watching the short video for that show. I think you have to know your child. Mine loved those things around 18 months and even ask to go. But they would have had no interest in say fresh beat band, sesame street or any of those others. I know my 3.5 year old loved the one last Jan and was telling her friend about 2 months ago all about captain hook and the pirate ship, etc. Most people we know IRL take their 18+ month kids and older and they enjoy it. But again it depends on your child's interests.

My DD went and she was 14 months and LOVED IT!!!!!! She was amazed by the characters and lights and music. She had a good time. She got antsy towards the end, but only like the last 10 minutes!

Re: Disney on Ice
We took DS when he was 14 months old as well and he absolutely loved it. Sat still clapped through the whole thing. We also brought along the in-laws which was helpful as we all took turns holding DS on our laps.
