I opted for mirena instead. I read info on both but ultimately decided on mirena bc my ob preferred it. I'm still adjusting to it 3 months later which I heard is normal (although really freakin annoying!). Fm me if you have specific questions.

Imo from my experience I wouldn't recommend it AT ALL. I unfortunately had most of the bad side effects that they talk about...horrible cramps, heavy heavy bleeding, spotting between periods, back pain, you name it I had it.
After I have I am going to look more into Mirena and the seasonique pill

I had paragaurd between DD and DS. I didn't have really any side effects like cramping or heavy periods. i didn have alot of mucuos..kind've like slowly losing your mucous plug. They said it was normal. I now have Mirena and prefer it. I barely get my period, and no mucous. Its hard to explain, but with paraguard I always felt aware that it was there, I don't have that with Mirena. HTH!
