Day care drama!

So we went to visit a day care a few weeks ago. We got a call that there was a spot open for august 1 from "K". (Jordana was on the wait list). So we took at tour with "L" and said that we would think about it. We were very impressed, but it is very expensive. Every week I have been in touch with L asking questions. On Monday I told L that we woudl be signing Jordana up. She said wonderful and asked me if K gave me a start date. I told her yes, 8/1. We found out that there was a deposit on the daycare and DH had some questions, so he called them up. Then we found out her spot was given away I freaked out and called K and told her, no one told me there was any urgency! I had no idea. I spoke to L every week. She said that L doesn't know abotu teh admissions - hello L is the director!!! I am so upset. SO she is going to see if she can switch with someoen who was supposed to start August 1, but really wanted to start in November, but just wanted to be guaranteed a space.

I am finally at peace with it all- que sera sera. Worst case scenario, we get a nanny for a few months and she'll go to the daycare when she is 6 months (which is what I originally wanted).

I just didn't need this drama on my first day back at work. At least it distracted me from my sadness.

Bad business. . I'm glad it seems like it will work out. Let me know if you need me to ask my girlfriend for her nanny's friends numbers.
