I was told Sudafed was ok, they never mentioned Mucinex.

I took Mucinex while pregnant but, I find that helps more for coughing than stuffy nose.

Check with your OB before taking anything.

I took Sudafed a few months ago with success. This time, not so much. Ended up on antibiotics. My PCP told me that Sudafed is great if you have sniffles and runny nose. But if you take it for more than about 3 or 4 days (if your symptoms persist longer than that), it dries out all the liquidy part, and leaves the rest of the mucus - all thick and stuff, and then that is prone to cause infections and really get you stuffed. Sorry to be so graphic. I'd say try the Sudafed and see if it dries you out, but if it doesn't after about 3 days, call your doctor.
