Switching to Milk from Formula--HELP!!!!!!!
I have twins & already have one guy on milk. My other twin is on Alimentum formula. I am trying to switch to milk but even the littleist bit of milk mixed in bottle, he won't drink. Suggestions??? Maybe I should just try cold turkey????
I dont know what to do.

Switching to Milk from Formula--HELP!!!!!!!
DS was on gentlease. Starting at about 8.5-9 months I started to introduce regular formula back to him, slowly transitioning oz by oz every few days. About 11 months I started transitioning to whole milk, again oz by oz, for a few days.
Could it be the milk is making the formula colder then he's used to?? Maybe try warming it up?

We give COLD milk/formula straight from fridge. We never warmed it up. I know that is not the problem. I am just putting in 1 oz & he can taste difference...not sure what I will do.

You can totally ignore this if you want, but my pediatrician said that kids don't HAVE to transition to milk.
My son NEVER took to milk. After BFing, he did not drink milk anymore. He gets his calcium and nutrients from other sources. He's almost 3 now and strong, smart, etc!

Just try doing it straight up milk...if he is hungry/thirsty he will drink it and if not dont worry you can give yogurt to make up for the calcium....my kids never really got into drinking the milk. They are now 3 and ask for it maybe once a week if that...my Ped said not to worry... Good Luck!!!

I didnt mix it, I would put formula in one bottle and milk in another and slowly increased the milk and decreased the formula. I would give her the milk first. Within a week she was done with the formula.
