Elective Gender Determination Sonogram Question
I was looking at the website for Impact Medical Technology because I'm thinking of having an early gender determination sonogram. I saw some fine print that says they require a "written order" from a physician stating that you are under his/her care and have already had diagnostic ultrasounds. Does every early gender determination facility require this?

When I went, they just wanted to see a copy of my last sonogram-which showed that I was being treated by a doctor.

It depends on where you go- one place didn't ask and another place I showed an appointment card and that was enough.

Call and ask. I didn't go there, but the place I did go to either required the last sono pic you had (they just copy it and give it right back to you) or some proof you are under a drs care (your appt card or something).
They just want to be sure you are not using them for diagnostic care - since they will not do that for you.

This too for us!
I loved going there...the guy was so nice that did the sono. They just want to make sure you aren't using the elective sono as your regular medical care.

I went to impact and all that i did was fill out a paper with my dr's info on it. i didn't need to bring the note.
