Laughs When Reprimanded
DD is only 13 mo but when we tell her NO, she laughs at us and continues to do what she's not supposed to do. Help...what do we do?
p.s. sometimes I have to look away or leave the room because she laughs so hard I can't help laughing myself

Laughs When Reprimanded
DD is 15 months and does the same thing. She looks at me and shakes her head no while saying no no and continues doing it
I find moving her away and distracting her with something else works

Re: Laughs When Reprimanded
DS is 15 months and does the same thing as well. Oly thing that sort of works is picking him up and taking him away from the situation. Now my 3 yr old hates being reprimanded.

Laughs When Reprimanded
Dd, almost 18 mos does this..I find if I say it firmly a couple of times then take her out of the situation, redirection is key at this point..

Laughs When Reprimanded
It's so hard. My dd does the same thing. I try to avoid giving her attention and she usually stops. But it's so hard not to laugh when she does it!

Re: Laughs When Reprimanded
So I see this might be an age appropriate thing that she is doing! Glad to hear I am not in this boat alone! If I move her away she gets upset and gets the hint. BUT it's so hard when she is in her highchair feeding the dog or throwing food! And there she is laughing and giggling uncontrollably with food all over her face and hair.....I swear it's so hard to keep a straight face sometimes

Re: Laughs When Reprimanded
My DS does it too. He's 13 months. Last week, I forgot what he did, but my DH actually YELLED at him. I jumped. DS laughed his little ass off. I had tears coming down my face from trying so hard not to laugh.

Re: Laughs When Reprimanded
i hear you! she'll get it eventually!! just try to be consistent :) DD #1 is 4 1/2 and DD #2 is almost 18 months, so I've been through that stage twice already! DD #2 is just starting to get it and has been getting time outs more frequently these days. She is a little devil though and is going to make me gray!!!
