If you DID not cry dropping your child off to preschool ..
...please come in....
My DS (my baby ) starts preschool this week and I am a wreck - feel sick to my stomach every time I think of it. I have done this before with my DD and cried for days after she went - not on front of her or anyone but in the car and at home.
I thought I would be better this time around but I think I am worse.
I know he will love it. I know he will have fun and learn new things. I know they will take great care of him. I know he will make friends.
etc. etc. etc.
So I need some advice on what I can tell my head when my heart is aching inside.
Thanks

Re: If you DID not cry dropping your child off to preschool ..
I guess I see it as my DD is going to have tons of fun and be so active that she won't miss me. I never cried anytime my girls started but I did cry when DD#1 graduated from prek. I think I was one of the few who did then.
I also think it helps that they did not have trouble seperating. Although DD starts a new preschool this week and I hope she likes it as much as her last school.
Etd to say it helps when I see DD happily going off. So I know that she is happy. If she wasn't happy I think it would be hard to leave her.

My ds did not cry last year when I dropped him off. He just gave me a hug and ran off. I was fine with that and didn't cry. Now dd goes this year and I know she will be a crier. I am afraid I will lose it in front of her and start crying since I am only 2.5w pp lol I plan on trying to hold it together long enough to get into the car :)
