do you get them in your home or at a pre-school?
DS has qualified for speech and PT through pre-school (he is currently getting PT through EI)
I am torn about whether or not to find a pre-school program that would fit his needs, or to get these services at home....he is 2 1/2 and since he is a November b'day we plan on keeping him out of kindergarten an extra year...so we weren't planning on starting pre-school until next year. However, I am starting to feel like maybe a program might be best for him, rather than getting all of these services at home everyday during the week.

Noah will be getting Speech, O/T and Play therapy starting in Sept through a pre school program. he was offered through CPSE, a pre school program....we likely couldnt afford a pre school on our own , so he would have been getting those services at home had it not been built in ....

But, we are concerned with him attending pre school b/c of his anxiety, so if it doesnt work out, then we will take him out and get the services at home.

I think having it all done at a school is easier, then can just pull them from the class as needed. But I'm not really big on 3 yr olds attending pre school, but my situation kinda makes it a plus for him...so I think its different for everyone. If my son didnt have the services, he wouldnt be going to pre school. Its such an individual thing I think.

A school might help with things like speech just on a daily basis...

DS gets speech & OT at school.
He goes to a 90 minute "class" for socialization,(EI) then 2 hours of ABA, and then 30 mins of speech or OT.
He also gets ABA in the home M-F AMs before school. All through his school.
He still gets PT through EI.
He's a Jan. baby, so, he gets EI thru August.
In Sept. we start with the district and I am going to request everything take place at school.

DS goes to typical PS. He gets SEIT 3*60 in school, and speech 1*30 in school, and 2*30 in their office.

DS is 11/29 birthday. I'm considering keeping him back an extra year, but it depends on hoe he does in K.
