Re: 1st Visit
congrats!
my doctor did an internal sonogram to date the pregnancy and showed me the heartbeat (we didnt hear a heartbeat) they gave me paperwork to go for bloodwork at a lab and then a ton of other papers that they went over (how often i will see the doctor, what to expect, where they deliver etc) that was pretty much it

Re: 1st Visit
thank u!
When I was making the app, they said they were gonna take a urine sample and send me for blood work. Will they be able to tell me exactly how many weeks I'm pregnant?

yes they took urine too - forgot to mention that if they do an internal ultrasound yes they should be able to tell you how far along you are...although if you see them too early they wont see anything aside from a sac and they will need you to come back.
i went around 7weeks and they were able to date my pregnancy

Re: 1st Visit
It depends on how early you are if they'll do a sono. Most drs won't do a sono before 8 weeks, so if they're having you come in early, it's probably for a blood test to verify that you're pregnant.
At 8 weeks you'll have a sono, a pap (if you haven't had one recently), urine, blood...and of course weight and bp. Your dr will also meet with you at your first appt to give you lots of info, tell you your expected due date and answer any questions.
Congrats!!!

Re: 1st Visit
The practice that I use to use would do blood work and urine to confirm beta then would schedule a first ob visit around 7 weeks which the latter they would do everything including sono.
