School has started.. you know what that means....... CRAFTS with AJ
Yep, back already.
I know folks probably hate these posts and are already fed up with my AJ projects, but I love doing them and showing them off. So sorry.
Good news, its week one and its A, and we are out next week (in NY) so its just one then not again until the Friday after labor day for the letter T.
This year's teacher was very clear about days and letters. so yeah us.
Without further delay.. here is A for Alligator

For those curious, the alligator was made with the following:
Mini binder clip empty box (staples brand)
small binder clip empty box (staples brand)
-Green Construction paper wrapped edges, then over the box,
-Punch holes on both sides of the bigger box and one side of the smaller.
-Secure a green pipe cleaner in the small box, thread it through the larger box,
-Then cover both boxes with green construction paper.
-String the 'tail' with beads, make the back ridges.
-Use some folded green paper to make the pop up eyes and put some googly eyes on that (she wanted small eyes, I think bigger would have been cuter).
-Use some strips of green to make the 'feet/legs'. Glue to the bottom of the larger green box.
-I used a strip of white with "V" on it over and over for the 'teeth' aka smile and drew on a nose.
The box is obvious, paint the bottom blue, the sides green, let it dry (I came back the next day to it) go outside grab some twigs and branches, blue it onto the box directly or a few scrapes of green paper, let them dry (I used a blow dryer) then attach to the sides. Hot glue a rock or two down (for the alligator to sit on). Let the whole thing dry (over night for me) put in said tenant AKA Al, the Alligator

I love seeing the crafts you do with her !! She is such a cutie, and the crafts are always great! I especially love her wearing her Home Depot apron. Great job, and hope you have a safe and wonderful trip up here !!

This is very cute..I've never opened one of these posts but your daughter is a cutie pie and the project is adorable and I love that you worked together on it..that's a rarity sometimes!

This is an awesome project and your daughter is absolutely precious  As a former Pre-k teacher, it's so nice to see these projects and see the involvement between a parent and their child Good job to you both!
