weekday party

Would you be annoyed if your child was invited to a weekday party at 6pm during the school year???
Would this affect if you would attned that party?

Re: weekday party

Depends on the age i think. Right now I have a 1 and 3 yr old. Both go to sleep around 7.
I still think it's a little late though. We do bday parties with my sister and her kids who are older at that time, but thats pizza and cake.
We had a sunday party from 4 to 6 and i didn't think that was bad.

Re: weekday party

Would depend on the age. For my 3 year old, it would be tough because we wouldn't get home until at least 8 and then I'd have to wind him down from the party to get ready for bed. It would probably make the next day more difficult for all of us. That being said, if we were invited by a close friend or family member, we'd still go.

Re: weekday party

It would be a little difficult with me working and trying to get them there but if invited we would manage to attend.

Re: weekday party

for family or a very close friend I'd have to leave work early and get it done - but for a daycare friend. - No, I'd decline - Unless it was one of his BFFs who he would really upset about missing the party for -

Either way, totally inconvenient for me as a working Mom. - I don't get off the train until 6:00

Yes, I would, and have had parties on weeknights. You can't possibly find a day/time that will please everyone, so I would do what is convenient for you and your family.

Re: weekday party

If it was in our neighborhood, I would attend. DH and/or I am home by 5.

We've been invited to a few weekday birthdays during the middle of the day. this is more of a celebration amongst SAHMs and PTWMs. I work part time so I try to go.

Re: weekday party

honestly, a 6pm start would be too late for us during the week. there is just too much going on in the evenings and getting ready for the next day- unless it was family or a very close friend, we would prob not attend.

I'm not sure what area you are looking in, but, try tumbling tunes in Northport. They do really nice parties. I'm not 100% sure they do weekday ones though, but, check it out.
