Homemade Babyfood Storage
For those of you who made your own baby food, how did you store it?
Right now I am freezing it in ice cube trays that have lids (tupperware).
I have 2 trays and they are completely filled from today's cooking. I'd like to make a few more things tomorrow, and don't have enough trays!
So how did you store yours?

I got little containers from One Step Ahead. Love them- they are perfect!

I dumped the cubes into freezable tupperware - or ziploc freezer bags. If I used the bags I doubled up - probably didn't need it, but I did it anyway.

Re: Homemade Babyfood Storage
I have some of the storage containers from the Baby Bullet and I bought some extra containers from BRU. I actually never thought of using ice cube trays, but since DS is eating 2+ ounces of food, they seem too small per serving, no? How many cubes do you use per serving?

Re: Homemade Babyfood Storage
Trish, she doesn't eat much at a serving at this point. I usually mix 2 tbsp oatmeal with 2 tbsp formula, and give her 2 ice cubes alongside that. She is only having solids once a day, in the morning. Last night I gave her sweet potatoes before we had dinner and she did well with that, so I'll probably start adding a 2nd feeding in the evening. This morning she's getting one cube of peaches and one cube of pears with her oatmeal.
We are taking it slow with the solids. She really wasn't a fan of them when we started at 4 months, and I think maybe she wasn't quite ready. I kept up with it because they definately help her when she is constipated, she always goes shortly after eating them, but I am not pushing it, you know? We have plenty of time for solids!

Re: Homemade Babyfood Storage
I use the OXO Tot Baby Blocks Freezer Storage Containers. They are great- dont leak, freeze well, and dont stain. They come in two sizes, and they sell them at BRU, BBB, and Amazon. I have three or four packs of the 4 oz ones, and one of the 2 oz.
