Ds 1, a year. My ped said not to give it to him as it fills them and has no real nutritional value. He told me to atick with my breast milk.

my ped recommended supplementing with water in between feedings during the summer to keep dd well hydrated starting at around 3 mo. she's not really a fan, a few sips here and there and mostly she stares at the bottle with annoyance

8m. thats when my PED said to start with water in a straw sippy cup. we never did water in a bottle or anything like that.

My ped said at 3 mos its ok to give a little in between feedings to keep him hydrated. My DS hates it so I don't really plan on giving it to him

Giving infant water
about 6 months when I gave it to him in his straw cup. He didn't drink a significant amount until about 8-9 months when he got the hang of the straw.

Giving infant water
At my first son's 6 month visit, we asked about it (because it was July!) and she said we could give him an ounce or 2 here and there on hot days if we were gonna be outside a lot. But she warned not to let him fill up on it. We only gave it in a straw cup, and only started giving it regularly around 11 months or so. My second is now almost 8 months and we have never given it to him.
