Moms at home: How do you entertain your 15 month old?

I feel like I run out of ideas to entertain and stimulate 15 month old DD. I'm also pregnant with #2 and not feeling so great in the 1st trimester. I'm going to tackle the park again but standing around in the heat feeling tired and sick isn't much fun.

What do you do in a typical day? We're going to be starting gymboree soon but I need some other ideas.

I'm not a SAHM, but on the weekends while DH works, we will do the park, go to pool in the morning before her nap at noon. If we don't do any of those, she has a blow up pool she enjoys and her water table. Those usually kill a couple hours in the morning and will tire her out.

Thanks for the response! I'm definitely going to go out and look for a water table, I think DD would love it.

If we don't have set plans getting out definitely helps.
In the am we will either go for a walk, go to the park, go to the beach, run an errand (they love to go to the store) or go to the gym (they have babysitting)

In the afternoon after their nap we will either play downstairs or go out in the backyard.

What about your local library on the hot days?

I'm with you! I have a 14.5 month old and am almost 11 weeks pregnant. It's been a rough few weeks. Looking forward to the 2nd trimester. I started Gymboree last week with her. After the extreme heat I needed some indoor activities. When we hang out at home we play in the baby pool and at the water table. I took her to TOBAY on Tuesday, we were home by lunch, so we avoided the really hot part of the day. I'm at a total loss. I'm thinking about trying some of the indoor play places, but I wonder if she's too young for that?

We do programs at the library in the morning or TOBAY or the pool..she's in "school" 2 half days to keep her in that routine and then she takes a long nap on those afternoons..after that, we basically play locally or in the house...there are days I'm not sure what to do, either..I know Farmingdale has a great playroom and Once Upon A Treetop is good (we went before DD was walking, even, and we were there for like 2 hours!) or even just the library..DD likes their puzzles...hooking up with other moms helps because it gets you all/both out and to different places..OH..I forgot about the new playground at Eisenhower Park..it's great as well..the key is to get out in the morning before it's disgusting then it's lunch and nap for us...

We were always out and about. I find that the time goes very slowly at home.

We went to the park/playground at least once a day. We went to open play at Kidville, Gymboree, etc. We would go to the library and kiddie concerts. NYC has many free ones.
