What do we think about these freebies?

I love the idea of getting some free stuff for baby, but that being said, we have a small space and I don't want a lot of useless crap, even if it is cheap.

I'm not expecting a big shower, so I know that many things I will need to eventually purchase myself. Obviously, these are not big ticket items or must haves, but also wanted to share the links for others.

I'm thinking the udder cover and car seat canopy would be handy (Due in Dec) but not sure if the sling is a piece of junk and not sure if these are my fav patterns?

Free Udder Cover: Pay $7.95 for shipping:
Udder Cover Coupon Code Udder Cover Site

Baby Sling: Coupon code Family2011 Pay $11.95 S/H
Baby Sling

Free Car Seat Cover: Coupon Code BTALK4
Car Seat Canopy Site

I think theyre all great given the retail price v. what youd be paying. I have no good advice since im not btdt but the udder cover basically looks like an apron!

I have the sling and the udder cover from this offer (I had a gift card that I used to pay for the shipping) and they're not worth it. I'd spend $20 on a decent BF cover-up instead (this one is rough, kinda skimpy, and the hooks are not great). The sling itself is very, very flimy -- to the point that it's barely useable. You certainly can't use it hands-free.

As far as a car seat cover goes, I'd just use an Aden & Anais blanket when you're out. They're super versatile.

Don't want to burst your bubble, but these offers have been around for years and they're just crappy items. Figured it would be better to tell you!

Perfect! That's why I was asking. Even at 10 or 15 each, I'd rather not waste the money on total crap! It seemed a little too good to be true which is why I hesitated.

Thanks!

i got the sling. It was fine and its not really big but I am afraid to use it with a newborn. I am going to try it when LO gets a bit bigger

I got the car seat cover and actually think it is pretty nice. It has cozy minky fabric on the inside and could easily be used as a blanky! I thought I only paid $10 for shipping but can't remember!

None of these are really "free"- they're just very cheap items.
