crazy emotions--IVF related
well, we start meds in a couple of days and i'm just feeling sorta a mess emotionally. i can't get my head together. usually i'm pretty clear headed and focused but for some reason i'm all over the place when it comes to how i feel about going into IVF. this is a one shot deal for us (no $$ for a second round) so i just feel like so much is on the line. everybody around me seems so sure this is going to work for us and i'm not so sure. then i feel guilty for having doubts. and then i think, what if it does work and i lose the baby? then i think, what if it does work and i am ok and i have a healthy pregnancy and as soon as i have that thought, i make my brain forget it b/c i don't want to get my hopes up. so many scenarios running through my head and can't seem to get myself to feel grounded.
is this at all normal or am i a freak???

i think what u r feeling is very normal..
i was so scared of ivf and it not working or it working and having another loss
imo it is a gamble, a crap shoot and we hope and pray for the best
it is scary but we went in thinking if we want a baby this si what we have to do and went with it
i will say if this is ur only chance at ivf and u think u r not 100 percent ready maybe you should wait???
nerves and doubt to me r two diff things

I haven't been thru ivf but I know I have this same thoughts and I don't think I am a freak... You are def not a freak... I think it's normal to have some anxiety... This is stressful and all you can do is relax and hope that it will work

thanks ladies  i am definitely ready and want to do the IVF, i just feel scared at all the possibilities. but more than that, i just want to feel centered, if that makes sense, and i'm having a hard time feeling that sense of peace about all the possible outcomes.

It's totally normal to be feeling all of those things!!  I am feeling the VERY SAME THINGS and we are putting my embryos into someone who has a much better track record than me! Even still I catch myself worrying about it not working.. or losses.. etc... I just hate the unknown. I wish we could all just fast forward to when we all have our healthy babies an bypass all the nonsense it takes to get there!!
