Over Stimulation?
So I went in for monitoring today and the doctor said he would be shocked if I made it to transfer in this cycle. My nurse said that her gut feeling is that I will have to freeze everything because of over stimulation. I'm feeling so uncomfortable that I don't really care about the outcome at the moment but it is a little disappointing to hear. Anyone deal with this? Did you make it to transfer? What's the timeline if you don't? And when will I feel better? Any info would be great. TIA!

Re: Over Stimulation?
i hyperstimulated twice. the first cycle was a timed intercourse cycle and we did not trigger. i had like 10 mature follies and we had no option of switching to IVF at that point so it was a lost cycle. i had to go on bcp for three weeks after to shrink the follies.
during my IVF i also hyperstimulated, my e2 was in the 6000's. they say if its over 5000 that the implantation rate goes down. i was very uncomfortable but i did make it to transfer. we transferred two embies. a day or two after the ET i felt totally normal again. i was so afraid it didnt work cause ive always heard that when it works, if you had OHSS, it flares even worse after implantation. anyway i got a BFP and felt great. about two days later i gained about 9lbs in 48 hours and felt worse than i had after ER. my betas were high and both embies implanted, making the OHSS worse (although it was still considered mild). i ended up with a singleton because only one embie developed into a baby. it took about 2 weeks after BFP before I felt better. but i never went down to my normal size, the crazy bloat went down and eventually became a baby belly. good luck! FM if you have any questions!!

Re: Over Stimulation?
Thanks that was helpful - and a little scary - but mostly helpful. Thats exactly what they warned me about. I just don't want to feel like this anymore so if they tell me I can't do the transfer yet I'll be fine with that. I am so uncomfortable!

Re: Over Stimulation?
My E2 level was above 5000 when I triggered so they were nervous about OHSS. I had my transfer on Saturday and started to feel uncomfortably bloated around dinner time on Sunday. I was then bloated until Monday around dinner time. Luckily, it was short lived. I am not 100% sure if i had OHSS, but I know I was definitely very uncomfortable. I was able to have my transfer on Thursday.
