How big were your follies when you had LH surge?

SO I was at RE on Monday, and I had a 19 and a 14. The last time I surged my follie was an 18 (which I thought was small) and that IUI did not work anyway. I fully expected to surge by now, I know follicles grow 1-1.5 each day, which would put me at least at a 21 today. I am so afraid the OPK is going to miss it. I will have another RE visit tomorrow, but I was just curious if you had an idea of follie size when you surged, and do you think I am still on track for this month?

i dont think its always consistent. also over 20 is usually ideal for a natural cycle. however if you want to avoid all of this second guessing you should just trigger with HCG. then you don't have to worry as much about IUI timing because it's pretty exact to the trigger.

I went at cd 12 and my follies were between 18-20 and I didn't surge till 3 days later so I think it just depends. Good luck

Most times they were about 22-24. Sometimes they were smaller like 18-21

tuesday AM my follie was 18.5 and i surged in the afternoon.

not big at all. actually, they were very small which is why my last cycle was a bust

Thanks all.. Sounds like it can Vary..I know for my first child my follies were like 25 on the cycle I got pregnant on. I think tomorrow appt. they will prob. have me do a trigger shot. They had mentioned it last time, but then I surged anyway. I am just so paranoid about a miss.

First IUI one follie at 15 when I surged on my own. BFN.

Second IUI 2 follies 17.5 and 18 surged on my own. BFP!

all diff sizes but between 18 and 20 most,then i triggered

Well, still no surg, and follie was at 27 today..the other one did not grow. Waiting to see if bloodwork shows a surg.(OPK stick did not) If no, then I'll do a trigger shot tonight. This is the largest one I have ever had, so maybe the big fat juicy follie will do it! Who knows..
