Acne medication
My skin just started breaking out so bad!! I have prescription acne cream but I don't think I can use it (I think I remember reading its not allowed and I forgot to ask my dr.). Are we allowed to use OTC acne medicine like clean & clear?
Thank you!

Re: Acne medication
i would seriously check with your doc before trying anything for acne.. manny acne medications contain retin A which is hazardous to a baby..

Thank you!! I'll stick to water and soap for now. And some cover up!

Re: Acne medication
Salicylic acid is not good but benzoil peroxide is OK! I switched to a Neutrogena one and it actually works better than the Clean & Clear I had been using for years.

Re: Acne medication
I've heard and read that salicylic acid is definitely not ok. In some places I've read that benzoyl peroxide is ok, but my dermatologist said don't risk it. I just started using tea tree oil, which I've heard is safe. I think it's helping but it's too soon to tell.
