swelling?
When, or if, did most of you start the hand and feet swelling? I am 26+ weeks and the swelling has begun. I cant seem to get my one foot back to normal. the rest seems to subside with either laying down or simple usage during the day..
BTW- the one foot that one stop swelling i hurt early last summer running.. and if i look at it the wrong way it swells. the rest is new to me.
thanks!

Re: swelling?
I began at about 31 weeks with the swelling. Now at 38 weeks it's really bad and nothing is going back to normal. It will swell a bit less if I put them up but just a bit. As for hands there is nothing I can do. I just started drinking even more water than I drank before and am watching salt intake. Keep an eye on your BP though you want to make sure that is not high.

Re: swelling?
31 weeks and my left foot is swollen most of the time. The OB checked my BP and its ok but if you find that its all the time you should just check it out. I went to CVS to get medium compression socks and while they are not pretty they do the job. Also more water.
Maybe try that, I know that its getting hot out but I find they work.

Re: swelling?
With my 1st pg I started really early - my rings were off by 10w and my shoes didn't fit somewhere around 25w I think.
With this pg I've been very fortunate & the swelling didn't really start until about 30/31w.

Re: swelling?
My fingers must have started swelling around that time... I didn't notice and still can't notice when I look at them, but it was almost impossible to get my wedding ring off at that time, so it must have happened.
I'm 31w1 day and I only just noticed last night that my feet were swollen because I couldn't get them in my TOMS. & then I noticed that my left foot is more swollen than my right which now has me worried, because obvi I googled (bad idea) and blood clots kept coming up. Ugh.

Re: swelling?
I am 32 weeks, and swelling in my ankles probably started around 26-28 weeks (I have an old post about it somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look). This week, I can no longer get my rings on, and I'm primarily wearing my Fit Flops, because they are about all that fits, besides sneakers (but it's too much work to put on socks!).
My ankles are usually mostly better in the morning, but when I tried to put on a pair of sandals with an ankle strap on Monday, the strap wouldn't fasten, so there's definitely still some swelling.
