For those carrying small....
Did anyone who carried small have an average/large baby? Or, is anyone carrying small who expects to have an average/large baby? Everyone keeps telling me how small/ "great I look"- and I know they mean it as a compliment but I'm wondering if it's possible to still have a large baby... i don't really trust the growth sono measurements. MY doctors are not nervous, but they said i won't have a large baby...

I am due in 1 day and some people are still shocked to hear that Im due that soon. I carried very small this pregnancy. My last sono showed baby was measuring at 7.1 lbs and Dr. has had no concern about how small I am. I will let you know soon how big/small this baby is. If your Dr. is not worried then try not too worry...every woman carries differently

This was me when I was pregnant with my DD, she was born 7lb 14 oz .

Last Thursday at 37w3d I was up 19lbs and baby was measuring at 6lbs8oz and in the 50th percentile. I wouldn't worry. Even if baby is small it doesn't mean they are unhealthy.

I wouldn't worry if you're Dr isn't concerned.
I have the opposite problem. With DD I looked like I was about to give birth when I was 6 months along (think Jessica Simpson big) and my DD was only 7lbs 12oz.
I've noticed a correlation between how far apart your hip bones are/how long your torso is and how big you carry.
I have about 9 inches between my hip bones and only 3 inches between the bottom of my ribs and the top of my hip bones. So even though I'm technically chubby, I show quickly and I get huge.
My SIL is 2 inches taller than me (I'm 5'7"), she has a longer torso and her hips are wider. We are both on our 2nd babies and she is 26 weeks and I'm 10.5 and we look like wer're due at the same time
ETA: MY SIL is a stick, so you would think she'd show a lot.

I'm tall so with my DS I carried small pretty much the whole time until the end, when I started getting much bigger @ 7/8 months. He was 8lbs. at birth.
Everyone carries differently- with the twins now I'm sooo big. They are taking over, but I still don't look like I'm carrying twins.
