TMI: (Another Poo Post!) Need Advice.
WARNING: THIS IS A TMI POST...
now that the warning is out of the way lol...
I went from being extremely constipated in the first trimester to getting constant diarrhea in the second trimester. Is this normal? What can I do to stop it? Is there something I should or shouldn't eat? It is causing so much discomfort. I also have been passing smelly gas (which is very abnormal for me). I thought constipation was the worst, but I would almost prefer that at this point.

Are you over doing the fiber now?

I actually had diarrhea twice in the past 5 days. I just made a post about certain foods bothering me while pregnant. It seems like salad and milk have been giving me diarrhea lately. I am also in my mid 2nd trimester.

Hm... I do have the oatmeal with fiber now and I do eat a lot of salads. I can certainly switch back to the regular oatmeal but I am not sure if I can cut back on my salad eating. I also eat a lot of fruit- does that contribute to it?

I can't imagine constant diarrhea being normal whether pregnant or not. I would re-evaluate the foods you eat and stick to more bland foods.

Whenever I have foods with added fiber they don't agree with me at all. I get very bloated and gassy.

Totally crash, but for both pregnancies I had loose BM's the majority of the 9 months OB said it was normal and to cut out the extra fiber. I stuck to more carbs, but healthier like whole grain breads and made a sandwich. Drink LOTS of water to stay hydrated. Especially with all the loose BM's. Do the BRAT diet. May not 100% cure it, but help your stomach and keep drinking.
Mention it to your OB anyway if you're concerned

fruit definitely contributes!
Here is a chart for foods high in fiber:
FIBER FOODS
Like said above just add more rice and bananas to your diet to bind you a bit.

I am actually experiencing the same thing ~ I am trying to incorporate more fiber.
