BTDTM who were strep B positive
When my sister had her first she was on antibiotics during delivery because she developed a fever. My nephew was in NICU because of it. Well last night my mom and sis said my LO would probably be in NICU also since I'll be on antibiotics during delivery. Is this true?

I was on antibiotics but DS didn't need to go to the NICU.

Same here. I went into labor before my Strep B test results were in so they put me on antibiotics as a precaution. I could be wrong, but I think babies go to the NICU if a fever is involved & not just because you're +/on antibiotics...

I was strep b positive with DS#1 and was on antibiotics and he was never in the NICU

my dr. Never said that to me...she just said if i came up positive i would need to be put on antibiotics during delivery but nothing about the baby having to go to the NCIU

they gave me antibiotics but that wasn't why ds was in the nicu
