Fun Question! If this is your 2+ baby, are you craving different things than the 1st time around?

This is fun. When I was preggo with my daughter, I craved sweet things and cold things. I had a huge cupcake thing and sweet tooth during my pregnancy with her. I also craved things like super cold orange juice, and ice pops.

This time around, I'm craving savory things- mashed potatos, egg salad (in fact, I just downed an everything bagel with my home made egg salad on it. I could go for another one right now!), corned beef and cabbage, etc. I'm not craving ANY of this the things I was in my pregnancy with DD. Its too early to know what I'm having, but my instincts are telling me its a boy.

If this is your 2nd+ pregnancy, how have the cravings differed and have the genders been the same or different?

Everyone one of my pregnancies has been different. This time around all I want is chicken fingers. Cant even look at a vegetable. Last time all I wanted was salads and bread items. Wonder what that's all about?Chat Icon

With ds I craved food, salty, sour creamy kinds of things, pickley kind of things and I was always starving.

Now we are expecting dd I am not that hungry and I do want more sweet things this time around.

Same cravings here. Feta cheese (I eat Greek salads for lunch almost every day), pickles, olives, oranges, plums, grapefruit, etc. I am going to be REALLY surprised if this baby is a girl!

DD - anything citrus, apples, anything cold...couldn't drink coffee and the thought of wine made me sick and no sweet things until about week 18.

DS-I could have drank coffee and wine but I didn't , craved savory things, hated the smell of pasta sauce and couldn't stand tomato soup.

This pregnancy - so far its more similar to DD but I have a long way to go to find out for sure.

With my first I had serious citrus cravings & ate pineapple & oranges all day every day. I was ok with eating meat, except for chicken.

With this pg all meat revolts me - except for hamburgers for some weird reason lol I started out with serious citrus craving again, but over time that thankfully died down (I have wicked heartburn, but would have it anyway because I couldn't help myself!). For the past few months I've been all about bagels & sweets! I eat WAYYYYY too much junk food, but baked goods are my weakness. Cakes, pies, cookies - you name it & I can be found stuffing my face with it at some point during the day Chat Icon

With my DD I craved SPICY everything. Seriously. I put Frank's on everythinggggggg.

However, this pregnancy, I'm craving SWEET. Cupcakes, ice cream, brownies...you name it, I want it. In fact, I'm craving carrot cake because yesterday I read a passage with my students about it. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Needless to say, I think it's a boy this time. Among other things, it's been an extremely different pregnancy.
