what happens now?
im back from dr.and still not dialated..if i dont have the baby by this weekend then i have to go to dr next week and get hooked up to monitors or something..what happens with that? i'll be 40 weeks..they said they will check to see if the baby is ok..

If you dont go by this weekend, they will give you a sono to check your fluid and probably induce if no progress is being made

They will prob do a non stress test. It's nothing that hurts. I had many many many of them.
They put a 2 monitors on your tummy, 1 checks for contractions the other is a doppler for baby's heartrate. when you feel, if you feel a contraction you press a button to mark the strip. The dr then looks at the contractions against babies heartrate to see if baby is handling contractions okay.

I was only a fingertip dilated when I went into full blown labor, so there's still hope you could go anytime!
