If you've taken menopur...
Just got my instructions to start menopur tonight! She said to take TWO vials - I *think* she told me to mix that with 1cc of liquid - does that sound right? She just left a voicemail with instructions and only mentioned the two vials of powder but not the amount of liquid. She told me 1cc this morning (at 630am) and just wanted to make sure I remembered correctly.

This cycle is the first I've used it and I did 1 cc of sterile water to powder. I questioned the dose too bc you'll have leftover water. Doesn't hurt to call and double check exact amounts and instructions.

Call to double check but I've done that in the past using menopur
You do the following:
Draw up 1cc of liquid
Inject into 1st vial of menopur
Draw up the menopur/liquid mix
Inject that into the 2nd vial of menopur
Draw that up and inject

friendly advice if this is your first time injecting Menopur
inject slowly. I took that advice from girls on here and it was perfect. I forgot one time and just did it normal and it stung a bit. nothing too bad but injecting slowly makes you not feel anything

Thanks girls! I've done this before with a fresh cycle four years ago before conceiving DD, but it's amazing how you forget some of this stuff!
Does anyone else have trouble drawing up the meds using the syringe they give you? I felt like I had to try it a couple of times before I was able to get the meds - only to do it again in the other vial.
Also, DAMN that hurt! I forgot about that! I injected slowly because it BURNS A LOT going in! Is that normal? I think I remember that from my first time...

Yes, it is a little difficult with the syringe from what I remember.
and oh boy does it burn!!!! Totally normal.
